Aim Field Sports Review Of The British Shooting Show
"...The BSS hit the ground running and it's been expanding year on year."
Aim Field Sports have always felt it beneficial to demonstrate our products in person via exhibitions.
We've always felt that if the shooting industry was worth £1.5 billion in the UK, it merited its own exclusive platform to exhibit relevant and closely-related products to the general public. And clearly thousands of other people have had the same opinion because the British Shooting Show hit the ground running and it's been expanding year on year. Attendance has been staggering since its launch.
The organisers have pitched the time and place of the exhibition perfectly, just after the game season closes and within sight of the light nights of Spring. And, thankfully, the exhibition is as inclusive as it can be. It is a midlands occasion and more accessible to northern, Welsh and Scottish visitors.
The organisers have a good instinct for pricing and good relations. To exhibitor and visitor, the cost has been fair and without the annoying 'pay extra for's (catalogue etc.) We are not the only company to bow out of the CLA because of escalating costs. Similarly, the British Shooting Show has taken pains to canvas exhibitor and visitor opinion and how refreshing that it does so!
I think that there is every possibility that the British Shooting Show could attract the attention of even more foreign exhibitors and visitors and join an international circuit that includes IWA and The Shot Show. The British shooting fraternity would obviously enjoy such exposure. The organisers are more that capable of such expansion and development.
