As an existing shooter you will already have a good level of knowledge – certainly with regard to your current discipline(s). You may therefore find that some of the information contained in the AIRGUNS, SHOTGUNS, RIFLES & MUZZLE-LOADING sections at the start of this page is already known to you. However there is, continued in each section, information on the types of shooting and links to where to shoot which we hope you will find helpful.

How can YOU help to grow the voice of UK shooting?
Firstly you can point people who are new to shooting in the direction of this website and provide them with the opportunity to at least learn the basics.
When in the company of friends or colleagues how often have we all heard the following?
"Shooting really interests me – I've often thought about having a go but never really knew exactly what's involved or where to go".
As an existing shooter you are in a unique position to introduce people to the sport.
Sometimes people get lucky when their passing interest is enthusiastically seized upon, and at the very first opportunity they're "personally" introduced to the local shooting club to get "hands on".
That's really all it takes – giving people the chance to actually shoot, in an easy, convenient and stress free way. Then helping them with information, introducing them to a new potential circle of friends, exploding all the myths, providing a guiding hand, and most importantly, generating enthusiasm by demonstrating your own enthusiasm.
So next time you hear someone expressing an interest in shooting please don't miss the opportunity.
Strength in numbers...
"The more people that shoot the stronger the voice... The stronger the voice the safer the future of shooting in this country!"
Just think about it for a minute – if every shooter brought just one more into the fraternity there wouldn't be 600,000 certificate holders in the UK – there'd be 1.2 million!
Now that's a voice to be reckoned with.
The following link will also provide you with further information to help get you on the correct path...
